The Air Max Zero was supposedly the first ever Air Max shoe to be designed. Famous Nike Designer Tinker Hatfield was inspired by a clear building that he once saw and was drawn to the idea of creating Air Max technology. The Air Max Zero was the first shoe designed with a visible AIr Max bubble that would provide a new type of cushion and support system within Nike footwear. It is designed to provide maximum impact protection using lightweight material.
Within the past year, Nike decided to dive deep into their vaults and when they came across the sketch, ultimately made the decision to put the design into action. In honor of Nike Air Max Week, the Swoosh has decided to re-release the original colorway so for those that missed out last year, now is your chance! Featuring a mostly navy and white mesh and phylon upper with a hue of hyper jade in its air max bubble, this silhouette calls for a s very sleek and simplistic design. This shoe will be available on nike.com and at select Nike retailers this Saturday, March 26 and will retail for $150.
